March brings the graceful and ever amazing orchid. Mine blooms every March in my studio and is a perfect subject for Kraft paper which enhances the whites and greens. I life near the Hillwood Estate Gardens which features a greenhouse filled with exotic species of orchids which I photograph but long to take home to draw each time I visit. Drawing from a photo never works for me.
